Life A Plenty retreats are really about BOTH resting AND building capacity in two ways:
- Coming on retreat when the chaos has settled enough that we can make changes – our internal capacity to learn is ready.
- Reflecting on our life to look for ways to implement the tools we learn on retreat to create healthy lives and relationships with ourselves and others – for when we go home.
So it is best to be in “green brain” when being referred for a Life A Plenty retreat. Video imbed It is also important to want to see change.
The best time to be referred for a Life A Plenty retreat is when:
- You have checked the upcoming retreat dates on our website and know you are available to attend.
- You live in the wider Bay of Plenty or southern parts of the Waikato (Tokoroa, Taupō).
- You may have increased levels of stress and exhaustion, but are not in crisis or living in constant trauma.
- You have completed or are engaged in one-to-one work with a supporting professional.
- You have gained some level of stability in terms of housing, mental health and crisis stressors.
- You are at a point where you are able to take on new ideas for growth, and are seeking change to manage life differently.
- You are able to organise care for any dependents and feel confident to leave them. Your youngest child is older than 2 years old.
